Computer
disks Floppies
Keep
separate disks for each subject:
it's easier, and safer.
That
is,
one
disk
for
English,
one
for
Science,
one
for
Maths.
You
should
also
give
your
files
names
that
are
easy
to
remember.
A
3.5" floppy
disk
has
a
storage
capacity
of
1.4MB
That's
enough
for
three
full
length
books.
But
graphics
can
take
up
an
enormous
amount
of
disk
space.
A
single
A4
colour
picture
could
fill
one
disk.
Hard
disks
Saving
your
work
onto
a
hard
disk
is
risky.
You
can
easily
lose
all
your
work
if
the
disk
crashes.
If
you
do
work
on
a
hard
disk,
back-up
onto
a
floppy.
This
protects
you
against
viruses
and
deleting
work
by
accident.
This
is
especially
true
if
you
are
sharing
a
network
in
school. |
