In
English you should remember -
Some
questions are compulsory - which means that you've got to
do them.
Some
questions will give you a chance.
You must read
the instructions very carefully. This is so that you are answering
the correct questions and not wasting time on questions you don't
have to do!
TOP TIPS!
- Read through the entire paper once, carefully.
- Underline the Instruction terms as you read,
so that you know exactly what you have to do.
- Write down at the beginning of each section of the paper,
how many questions you have to answer.
- Check all instructions carefully.
- Circle the numbers of all compulsory questions - this way
you will know that you must answer these.
- Look carefully at the questions which give you a choice -
read them now. When your mind is fresh, at the beginning
of the exam, you will be thinking more clearly and you'll find
it easier to select the best question for you. (You can always
change your mind later on, but at least you'll be familiar with
the options).
- Answer the questions in the order that they appear on
the paper and make sure you write the section and the question
number.
