My mother likes chocolate cake. She buys it from the supermarket whenever my aunt comes to visit. They sit talking for hours, and my aunt is very boring.

Place the contents of the packet into a mixing bowl. Add a small pat of butter and a cup of milk. Stir until the mixture is stiff. Add sugar to taste. Leave to stand for two hours, then place in an oven on gas mark 5.
