Green bullet Capital letters are used at the of start important words.

Green bullet They are always used in these cases:

  • at the start of sentences
  • for people's names
  • for titles and places

EXAMPLES

  • She entered the room with Charly Brown.
  • John wrote a letter to the Liverpool Academy.
  • We will visit Chester Zoo at Easter this year.

USE

Green bullet Always put a capital letter at the start of a sentence.

Green bullet Capitals are also used to show names and titles, as well as holidays and well-known places.

Green bullet Capitals are used to show the names of special things.

Green bullet If something has a title, use capital letters.
